‘Acorns on 8th’ offers self-catering accommodation in Paktown North – one of the old, gracious residential suburbs of Johannesburg that has always been highly sought after – with its beautiful tree-lined streets and burgeoning restaurants and pavement cafes.

Our accommodation is upmarket and clean, and our surprisingly low rates are not an indication of anything lacking! All our units are well stocked and offer excellent value for money.

We are ideally situated in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg to offer an alternate stay for both Sandton and Rosebank accommodation.

Our peaceful, indigenous garden – that has been planted to attract birds, has a very positive energy and has a large swimming pool that is available to all.

A Shell service station, with a 24-hour Shell Select and a Vida e Caffè Coffee Bar, is one block away and the trendy and fashionable suburbs of Linden, Greenside and Parkhurst, with their sought-after restaurants (and antique shops), just a few minutes further.

The Johannesburg CBD as well as the business hubs of Rosebank, Sandton, Melrose Arch, Illovo, Dunkeld and Parktown, which all have a number of restaurants, are all a short drive away.
Wanderers Cricket Stadium is over the hill, and the M1 highway is easily accessible.
The Gautrain Rosebank station, which offers safe, highspeed rail travel to OR Tambo International Aiport as well as Johannesburg Central and Pretoria, is a little over 2kms away.

The Netcare Rosebank Hospital and the Centre for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics are both 1,7 kms away, the Donald Gordon Medical Centre and Hospital is 4,5 kms and the Netcare Milpark Hospital, with its Sport-Rehab Medicine and Science Institute, is 5,1 kms.
